Description

Bindella estate expands over 128 ha (316 acres) and includes four different plots of land in the Argiano area one of the best position within the region of production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. This property was bought by the Bindella family in the 1984 and was the oldest cellar in Montepulciano. The barrels are stored in an ancient Villa from the 1700. One forth of the land is devoted to growing grapes: Sangiovese, Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo nero, Colorino, Mammolo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, as well as white varieties such as Malvasia, Trebbiano, and Sauvignon Blanc. We produce 130,000 bottles of wine per year. Our extra-virgin olive oil comes from about 3,500 olive trees, some very old, which are planted in an 11 ha grove. Wines and Olive Oil are strictly produced with the aim to express the terroir's peculiarity while preserving specific characteristics. The labouring practices are in balance with the sols need, they just assist but do not force mother nature. The main theme and motto written on all bottles: Terra Vite Vita (Earth Vine Life) is a symbol of the entrepreneurial vision, activity and behavior: Terra Vite Vita lines the way and expresses attachment to the land, care for nature and zest for life.
